A legacy of support for excellent care
With a long history of supporting excellent healthcare for central Virginia, planned giving made sense for Nancy and Sam Cardwell. A generous charitable trust the couple established 20 years ago matured this year, at an important moment for Centra and patients who turn to our not-for-profit system for innovative healthcare.
Impacting local health now and in the future
“It made us sit down and look at our estate plan that we put in place over 20 years ago,” Robert said. “No pressure involved. It helped guide us in some changes we really needed to make and opened our eyes to some things we could do to better direct our resources. It’s a great way to help the community.”
