Centra Health

Established in 1993, the Centra Health Foundation develops resources to support Centra in providing care throughout central and southern Virginia in more than 70 locations, serving more than 500,000 patients annually.  Through generous donor support, the Centra Health Foundation makes a wide range of contributions toward the healthcare needs of our region by sponsoring free medical screenings, providing continuing education for clinicians,  funding critical technology, equipment and construction needs, subsidizing medical bills for patients who cannot pay the full cost of diagnosis and treatment, supporting the establishment of the Holcombe H. Hurt Community Health Center and helping needy students pursue nursing careers.

Patients receiving care at Centra benefit from the foresight of donors who have included our healthcare programs and services in their legacy giving plans. These estate gifts are critical to the future success of Centra being the most trusted provider of innovative healthcare now and into the future.
